Àlex is self-taught in photography and started his career by working with different photographers as an assistant, as well as taking courses in photography.

Involved in the world of music since his youth, he works with several music artists, aims to create greater depth in his portrait work and bases his philosophy on respect for the traditional process of photographic processing and development.

Outstanding aspects of his work are his perspective of flamenco and his portraits of artists as disparate as Paco de Lucía, Estrella Morente and the film director Carlos Saura.

He is currently working as coordinator and photographer on the editing and publication of the recording and biographical works of several music artists.

Àlex has also organised and taken part in various music festivals, as well as planning and managing conferences on music. He has published work in the fields of photojournalism and advertising.

As a photographer he does not seek essences but moments, with a humble and almost tough perspective, which explains why he has specialised in portraits and scenes of daily life.
